I'm a sucker for a wing!au, and now I can't stop thinking about Farah and her having wings that look so much like her fathers.

Farah, who has no pictures or videos of her parents, and who's wings are the closest thing she has of them.

Farah, who catches herself staring at herself in the mirror. Wondering if the broad shape of her wings are the same as fathers. Or how similar the soft brown of her wings were to his, and wondering if her father ever wondered the same thing.

Farah, who's grief seems never ending when she catches Hadir staring at her wings with the same expression she often finds when he thinks about their parents.

Farah, who's so very particular about her grooming habits because she feels as if her wings are nothing but a living alter.

Farah, who's wings seem almost untouchable even to herself. Who only lets Hadir arrange her feathers while they ignore the silence that's beginning to grow between them.

Alex, who sees her hesitation and recognizes her grief, but admires her wings from afar. They remind him of the sunset.

Farah, who's wings begin to represent her state of mind when Hadir dies. Holding in a sob at how utterly gentle Alex is the first time he grooms her wings. It takes him hours to get them resemble how they looked before, but the silence between them is comfortable yet distinct. Alex, smiling when she quietly asks if she can return the favor.

Farah, who's never seen her wings as being *hers*. Always as a living testament to the life she could have had. A living memory to the father who's love seemed to bright that it cast a shadow on her life the day he died.

Farah, who wakes up one day and sees all of the hard won cuts and scars along her wings and finally feels like she can breathe.

Kate | Price | Nikolai Headcanons

because you cannot tell me that these three aren't absolute menaces out on the field

platonic soulmates platonic soulmates platonic soulmates. These three love each other *so* much. Absolute ride or dies for each other. If Price doesn't like someone then please believe that Kate and Nikolai absolutely hate that person's GUTS (even if they've never met them).

Disaster trio. All of them are workaholics with no semblance of a decent sleep schedule. They'll gather at Kate's modest little farm for debriefings and whatnot, and you'd think they'd have passed out with how long they've been in there going over the smallest of details over and over again. The only reason they haven't passed out from starvation is due to the Kate's wife dragging all three of them downstairs for dinner. Idiots, all of them.

Have all been witnesses to each others sexuality crisis at some point or another. Not to mention the string of failed romances that they've all seen, and it's honestly a miracle (in Kate's mind) that at least one of them managed to get married.

and *yes*, Kate has a gold necklace (just like John and every single other person who Nikolai thinks of as family). As does her wife <3

Kate was the one who met Nikolai first, and she was the first person who somehow managed to gain his trust after he ran from the Soviets and became a criminal. She's his go-to person for a lot of things, and he considers her to be one of the most important people in his life.

Laswell is the only person who knows exactly what's up between Nikolai and Price (considering she's walked in on them a few too many times for own comfort). It's gonna be an all brawl between them when they finally get married and need to choose a Best Woman.

All three of them LOVE to read, and their own mini bookclub.
